Let's take a look at who builds the most homes per year in the Omaha area (Douglas and Sarpy County).
This list is based purely on the number of homes built.
#1 - Celebrity Homes
If you already live in Omaha, you'll be familiar with Celebrity Homes.
And to many of you, it will be no surprise that Celebrity Homes is the biggest home builder in the area.
In 2022, they built almost 295 homes in the Douglas and Sarpy County area.
Prices for new homes continue to go up, but Celebrity offers some of the most affordable homes around. Expect to spend $250,000 or more for a new home from Celebrity.
Celebrity has been building homes in the area since 1977.
#2 Charleston Homes
Coming in at #2 with 208 homes built in 2022 is Charleston Homes.
Established in 2007, Charleston Homes currently offers nine floor plans that are built to meet different tastes and budgets. Their model homes can be found in the Elkhorn, Bellevue, and Gretna areas, and provide an in-person way to experience the options Charleston Homes has to offer.
#3 - DR Horton
A newcomer to this list is DR Horton.
In 2022, DR Horton built 181 homes in Douglas and Sarpy County.
This was the first year DR Horton built homes in the area. D.R. Horton is the LARGEST home builder in the United States. They built over 71,000 homes. Much of that coming from California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida.
#4 - Legacy Homes
In 2022, Legacy Homes built 146 homes in the area.
Legacy Homes has been a premier builder in the Omaha and Lincoln area since 2012. They’ve been winning the “Best of Omaha” home builder award since 2015. They offer clients an option to high-cost custom home building through plan personalization.
#5 - The Home Company
The Home Company built 103 homes in 2023.
Their homes start at around $350,000.
Over the years, The Home Company has fine-tuned its building process making it easier than ever to choose floorplan options and make color selections.
They currently offer 15 different floor plans.
