As the temperatures begin to dip and the leaves begin to change, it’s prime time to explore Omaha’s thriving local coffee scene. With tons of cool shops sprinkled all over the city, from downtown to North O to out west and beyond, there are almost too many options out there. Check out some of our team’s favorite fall offerings from local Omaha coffee shops, sure to add a pep to your step on autumn mornings.

Stir Coffee Bar

The newest shop to open in the area, Legacy’s Stir Coffee Bar is a female-founded triumph in West Omaha. Their signature autumnal drink is the extra smooth S'mores Latte. Ingredients include espresso, milk of your choice, chocolate syrup, hickory wood smoked honey, and marshmallows. There are even graham crackers included, which melt into the milk, which is why this option is only served hot. For extra Nebraska points, the honey is sourced from a local farm, located in Clarkson, NE. Fat Head Honey Farms. According to co-owner Tiffany Murphy, “This one is definitely a fan favorite!” Be sure to check out Stir’s “Local Wall” for tons of other

Hardy Coffee Co

Hardy Coffee - Omaha, Nebraska

With three neighborhood locations, Benson, Downtown, and The Highlander, Hardy Coffee Company is a specialty coffee roaster and bakery that should be on any Omaha coffee crawl. They have multiple fall offerings, but the House-Made Pumpkin Spice Latte is a classic favorite says proprietor Autumn Pruitt. Crafted with real pumpkin, organic sugars, and a slew of autumn-inspired spices it’s simply delicious, hot or iced. Customers can also buy just the syrup for use at home if they prefer.

For those who eschew coffee for tea, consider Hardy’s Blackberry-Infused Earl Grey Tea Latte, which is available hot or iced. It can even be purchased though the online store.

Myrtle & Cypress Coffeehouse

Myrtle & Cyprus

Located in midtown’s Gifford Park, Myrtle & Cypress is a cute coffee shop in an old, revamped house. The team shared that, “We have lots of favorites but every fall since we opened we have had our Maple Date Latte and it is a crowd favorite. Sticking to our values of wellness & nutrition we use unrefined sweeteners like maple and date syrup to create the perfect fall treat.” This concoction can be served with either their house-made almond milk or from their locally sourced, organic, non homogenized whole milk. Don’t forget to pick up a new house plant in M&C’s weekly plant story sales as well!

Karma Koffee

Karm Koffee - Omaha, Nebraska

Karma Koffee is nestled in the Pepperwood area in northwest Omaha. This eclectic shop uses locally roasted Hill of Beans coffee. Their new drink, perfect for cooler fall temperatures, is Eternal Sunshine. This bright yellow beverage contains espresso with vanilla and 100% pure maple syrup, as well as anti-inflammatory turmeric steamed into the customer’s milk of choice. (Manager and Partner Traci Page highly recommends Oat milk for the Eternal Sunshine!) Then, everything is topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon, an excellent autumnal flavor.

Archetype Coffee

Archetype Coffee - Omaha, Nebraska

With two great locations, one in Little Bohemia and the original in the Blackstone District, Archetype Coffee delivers with their fall-forward Vegan PSL Slushy. Owner Isaiah Sheese shared that the ingredients include Barista-curated spices with notes of cardamom, ginger and cinnamon, Archetype's signature espresso, Pumpkin, Oatmilk, and Apple wood smoke. The end result is a plant-based powerhouse drink, ideal to usher in the fall season.
